Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie\u2019s rental agreements<\/a> will be reviewed by the royal household within a year, it has emerged.<\/p>\n

A report published by the National Audit Office (NAO) on Friday revealed that the sisters had been living rent-free in their respective homes within royal palaces for more than 15 years.<\/p>\n

Their rental payments at St James\u2019s Palace and Kensington Palace are covered by the King using the Privy Purse, his own private income.<\/p>\n

The arrangement was made under the reign of Elizabeth II.<\/p>\n

However, royal sources confirmed that all financial matters were kept under \u201cregular review\u201d.<\/p>\n

The NAO report revealed that the Princesses, neither of whom are working royals, had lease agreements known as licences which were \u201cagreed annually for a one-year period\u201d.<\/p>\n

The next review will be considered particularly significant in light of the latest developments and the scandal surrounding the York family\u2019s links to Jeffrey Epstein<\/a>.<\/p>\n
