Taylor Swift<\/a> may be “wearing that same smile” after setting another record with her new country track, “I Knew It, I Knew You.”<\/p>\n Hours after releasing the original song from Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 5,”<\/a> Swift broke streaming records across major platforms.<\/p>\n On June 5, the country ballad became the most-streamed country song in a single day by a female artist in Spotify history. Then Apple Music<\/a> announced it was the biggest country single of 2026 and broke the platform’s all-time record for the largest first-day performance by a soundtrack single. Amazon Music said the track delivered the biggest first 24-hour global streaming debut for any song released in 2026.<\/p>\n What likely fueled the song’s record-breaking debut was Swift’s release of an official music video<\/a> for the harmonica-and-piano-driven ballad. Available exclusively on Spotify Premium and Apple Music, the video is composed of footage from the “Toy Story” franchise and unfolds through Jessie’s perspective as a montage of highlights play.<\/p>\n The song also carried personal significance for Swift, who reflected on the project in a statement shared on X.<\/p>\n “Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time,” Swift wrote<\/a>. “Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once. And being a ‘Toy Story’ kid from the age of 5 til now … is an adventure I plan to be on, to infinity and beyond.”<\/p>\n Swift also thanked director Andrew Stanton for envisioning her involvement years ago and praised composer Randy Newman for creating the franchise’s musical identity.
