PLAGUE OF ANGELS<\/strong> have released a new music video!<\/p>\n The UK-based dark alt-metal outfit have unveiled Pangea<\/strong>, their fifth single to date, accompanied by a cinematic new video. The new single follows on from previous single, last year\u2019s\u00a0Black Requiem<\/strong><\/a>, and sees the band continue to develop their \u2018organic metal\u2019 sound, blending orchestral grandeur with crushing heaviness, and features a guest solo from SYLOSIS<\/strong> guitarist Josh<\/strong> Middleton<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Speaking on the new single, the band says, \u201cPangea<\/strong>\u00a0represents everything we love about PLAGUE OF ANGELS<\/strong>: atmosphere and emotion blended with aggression and heaviness \u2013 but for this release, with a much slower and more brooding focus. At its core, the song explores humanity\u2019s increasing disconnection from one another despite living in a more connected world than ever before. Musically, we wanted to capture the tragedy of this theme through dark, haunting melodies, cinematic orchestration, and moments of explosive intensity, constantly shifting between intimacy and power.<\/em> Watch the official music video for Pangea here:<\/strong><\/p>\n
Rather than simply performance-based, we approached the video as an artistic extension of the music, creating something evocative and darkly immersive. We\u2019re also honoured to feature an incredible guest guitar solo from Josh Middleton of Sylosis, whose dynamics and phrasing adds another dimension to the track as it moves towards its emotional climax.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
