Princess Beatrice<\/a> and Princess Eugenie<\/a> were among the guests at their cousin Peter Phillips<\/a>‘ wedding to Harriet Sperling<\/a>.<\/p>\n Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 36, were in attendance for the June 6 nuptials at All Saints’ Church in Kemble, joining other members of the British royal family, including King Charles<\/a> and Queen Camilla<\/a>, Prince William<\/a> and Kate Middleton<\/a>, Prince Edward<\/a> and Sophie<\/a>, as well as Peter’s mother, Princess Anne<\/a> and her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence<\/a>, and Peter’s sister, Zara Tindall<\/a>, and her husband, Mike Tindall.<\/p>\n The outing marked one of the first major appearances by Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie at a family event since renewed interest in their parents’ ties to the late Jeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n Jack Brooksbank, Princess Eugenie of York, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Princess Beatrice of York arrive for the Royal wedding of Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling at All Saints’ Church on June 6, 2026<\/i><\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n The former Prince Andrew<\/a> and Sarah Ferguson<\/a> were stripped of their royal titles<\/a> and had to vacate their longtime royal residence<\/a> last year.<\/p>\n Although Andrew stepped back from his public royal role<\/a> in 2019 following his headline-making BBC interview<\/a> in which he discussed his relationship with Epstein, scrutiny intensified after the posthumous memoir of Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre, who died by suicide last year, was published in 2025. In the book, she wrote that Andrew “believed having sex with me was his birthright,” describing three occasions Epstein allegedly arranged for her to meet him beginning at age 17.<\/p>\n Andrew and Ferguson’s connections to Epstein were again spotlighted after the Department of Justice released new files<\/a> in January. The following month, Andrew was arrested<\/a> on suspicion of misconduct in public office, with authorities investigating an allegation that he shared confidential information with Epstein while acting as a trade envoy for the U.K.<\/p>\n Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein.<\/p>\n Andrew and Ferguson, both 66, were not among the invited guests<\/a> for Peter and Harriet’s nuptials, with a friend of the bride and groom saying their presence would be a “distraction.”<\/p>\n In the wake of their father’s arrest, a source told PEOPLE that Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were “trying to stay away from it. They have young children, and this is their grandfather \u2014 their focus is on protecting their own children<\/a> from this.”<\/p>\n Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie notably spent Christmas with King Charles and the royal family <\/a>at Sandringham, despite their parents’ absence from the holiday gathering.<\/p>\n “They live and die by the monarchy, so this didn’t surprise me at all. And Andrew and Sarah would have 1,000% supported it<\/a>,” a friend exclusively told PEOPLE shortly after.<\/p>\n Royal biographer Robert Jobson agreed that it was the right move for Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie to honor King Charles’ invitation on Christmas, showing loyalty amid the turmoil.<\/p>\n “They did the right thing \u2013 showing loyalty to King Charles and to the crown. It’s easy to say this is a snub, but they would say, ‘I’m a royal princess, I’m in line to the throne, I have been invited to attend the King’s Christmas celebrations, and you don’t turn down the King’s invitation,’ ” he said.<\/p>\n “If you have an invitation, you go.
