Simone Biles<\/a> <\/b>says that she is recovering from a recent medical emergency.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not one to normally share things like this because I value privacy in today\u2019s age, but almost dying wasn\u2019t on my bingo card this week,\u201d Biles, 29, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Saturday, June 6, alongside a selfie featuring the athlete wearing multiple hospital bracelets. \u201cThis was one of, if not the, scariest experience of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Without disclosing details of her health scare<\/a>, Biles felt especially distraught that her husband, Jonathan Owens<\/b>, was out of town during her mysterious ordeal.<\/p>\n

\u201cJonathan was in Indy for practices,\u201d she wrote on Saturday, referring to Owens\u2019 preseason NFL practice with the Indianapolis Colts<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019ve been in bed resting this week.\u201d<\/p>\n

Biles continued, \u201cI\u2019ll explain sooner or later, but [shout out] to my close circle who reached out, checked in, visited or sent flowers \ud83e\udd0d\ud83e\udd0d\ud83e\udd0d<\/span>, Love y\u2019all.\u201d<\/p>\n

Biles subsequently uploaded images of various floral arrangements that she\u2019s received from her loved ones during her trying time.<\/p>\n

Biles and Owens, 30, have been together since 2020, meeting via the celebrity dating app Raya.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was one of the few times in her life where everything was just shut off and she couldn\u2019t do anything,\u201d Owens told <\/i>Texas Monthly<\/i><\/span><\/a> in 2021 of meeting the gymnastic icon during the coronavirus pandemic lockdown. \u201cWe used it to get to know each other \u2014 really get to know each other. It created our bond and made it stronger. Now, I\u2019m so thankful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Biles and the pro football player ultimately tied the knot in 2023 after three years of dating, soon becoming one another\u2019s biggest supporters.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is not much motivation you need to do, just because you don\u2019t want to put extra, added pressure on anyone. I just tell her, \u2018Go do your thing, baby,\u2019\u201d Owens exclusively told Us Weekly<\/i> <\/span><\/a>in July 2024 about attending Biles\u2019 gymnastic meets. \u201cYou get a different type of focus whenever you just have this one person that you\u2019re focusing on.\u201d<\/p>\n
