The teens, however, found strength in going against the status quo.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Tunney, the 1996 cult classic starred Fairuza Balk, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Neve Campbell,;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/neve-campbell-8776656\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Neve Campbell,<\/a> Rachel True, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Skeet Ulrich;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/tag\/skeet-ulrich\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Skeet Ulrich<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Christine Taylor;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/tag\/christine-taylor\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Christine Taylor<\/a> and Breckin Meyer.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The 53-year-old notes that she is still &#8220;so proud to have been a part of it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s like survived generations and like the people that it speaks\u00a0to&#8230; it&#8217;s so funny, like, there&#8217;ll be men that come up, and they&#8217;re like, &#8216;<em>The Craft<\/em> made being a\u00a0queer boy in high school like tolerable,&#8217; and I was like, &#8216;There wasn&#8217;t a queer boy in it,'&#8221; she jokes. &#8220;And I love\u00a0that because it was directed by a queer man, and somehow they felt it. And I feel like people\u00a0can sense when filmmakers love them and see them in the\u00a0storytelling.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Tunney is especially glad the film has held up despite all the changes in the world of filmmaking and streaming.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s weird because television is sort of\u00a0ephemeral, and I think with streaming, even more so, it&#8217;s like something&#8217;s on and then where does it\u00a0go? It goes into this kind of oblivion.
