Jess Hilarious<\/a> is reflecting on the fallout after her return from maternity leave on The Breakfast Club<\/em><\/a> and her since-resolved issues with Loren LoRosa<\/a>.<\/p>\n On the latest episode of Kandi Burruss’s Speak On It<\/em> podcast, the 34-year-old comedian and radio personality revisited the period after she came back to The Breakfast Club<\/em> and found her replacement, LoRosa, still on the show.<\/p>\n In March 2025, Jess\u2019 confusion at the situation led her to a heated rant on Instagram Live<\/a> where she called out her co-workers, Charlamagne tha God<\/a> and DJ Envy<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThe only thing I would change is going online because I didn’t know enough about Loren LoRosa at the time,\u201d Jess told Burruss near the 25-minute mark in the video linked here<\/a>. \u201cI will definitely say my anger was misplaced. Obsess.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cI love what she do,\u201d Jess said of LoRosa. \u201cShe’s a journalist. I’m not, I’m a comedian. I do commentary on headlines and things like that, I’m there for the comic relief. She actually is serious about her job, she comes from TMZ and all that. So I was like, \u2018Yeah, I want her to sit in my spot for maternity leave.\u2019 But when I came back, I promise nobody has said anything\u2014and she was still there.\u201d<\/p>\n Jess also confessed that despite feeling close to her co-workers, she felt like Charlamagne and Envy were trying to \u201cpush\u201d her out of the long-running radio show and replace her with LoRosa.<\/p>\n \u201cThey didn’t really know what was going on either,\u201d she said. \u201cBut I just felt like they were keeping things from me. And so I went online and I did the thing. I did the \u2018Jess Hilarious\u2019 thing, right? And then I go to work like my badge going to work the next day. I didn’t even get to try the badge cuz Charlamagne was right there at the elevator like, \u2018Nah, come on. Bring your goofy ass in here.\u2019 He gave me a hug and then he was like, \u2018We going to have this conversation,\u2019 and then we did it on air.\u201d<\/p>\n Looking back, Jess admits she would express the exact same feelings but offline.<\/p>\n “It would be the same way. It just wouldn’t be online,” she says, explaining that instead, “It would be with them, all of them in the room,” because “it was nobody’s business.” She also admits that outside reaction made things more intense, saying that people in the comments section were \u201cvalidating\u201d her own feelings about the situation.<\/p>\n “I love all of them,\u201d Jess added. \u201cTwo brothers and now a new sister.\u201d<\/p>\n She also credits outside mediation from Power 105.1 hosts Angie Martinez and former Breakfast Club<\/em> co-host Angela Yee, saying they supported both sides and helped guide them through the tension. Jess even credited Martinez with inspiring the idea to do a parody<\/a> of Brandy and Monica\u2019s \u201cThe Boy is Mine\u201d called \u201cThe Job is Mine.<\/p>\n Jess Hilarious officially joined The Breakfast Club<\/em> in February 2024 after Angela Yee’s departure.
