Despite what Olivia Rodrigo<\/a> said on her most recent single<\/a>, sometimes, it actually will<\/em> be the Cure<\/a>. At a surprise set at Primavera Sound Barcelona<\/a> last night, Rodrigo brought out Robert Smith<\/a> to perform a new duet with the band\u2019s frontman, \u201cWhat\u2019s Wrong With Me.\u201d Watch them perform the song, which marks Rodrigo\u2019s first original collaboration, below.<\/p>\n \u201cThis song is special to me for so many reasons, but primarily because it\u2019s my first song I\u2019ve ever done a feature on, which is really exciting,\u201d Rodrigo told the crowd before performing \u201cWhat\u2019s Wrong With Me\u201d for the first time. \u201cI can\u2019t believe that this song exists with the person it exists with, and I\u2019m just so fucking over the moon.\u201d<\/p>\n Smith and Rodrigo\u2019s first official collaboration has been a long time coming. Rodrigo has not been shy about expressing her adoration for the singer, calling him a \u201cpersonal hero of mine\u201d before bringing out Smith to perform \u201cJust Like Heaven\u201d and \u201cFriday I\u2019m In Love\u201d at Glastonbury<\/a> last year. The lead single from her new album, You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love<\/em><\/a>, \u201cDrop Dead<\/a>,\u201d also references \u201cJust Like Heaven.\u201d<\/p>\n The Cure also performed at Primavera Sound this weekend, breaking out a number of live rarities for their first public performance since 2024. The show also marked their first show since the death of guitarist and keyboardist Perry Bamonte<\/a> in December of last year.<\/p>\n
