As Aubrey Plaza<\/strong><\/a> and Chris Abbott<\/strong><\/a> await the birth of their first baby, the actress happily cheered on her boyfriend at the 2026 Tony Awards.<\/p>\n

The pregnant Parks and Recreation<\/em> alum, 41, and the Death of a Salesman<\/em> actor, 40, attended the Sunday, June 7, ceremony at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Plaza draped her bump in a sleek pinstripe gown with EFFY jewelry, while Abbott opted for a classic suit.<\/p>\n

Abbott earned his first Tony Award nomination<\/a> for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Play for his portrayal of Biff in Arthur Miller\u2019s<\/strong> iconic Death of a Salesman<\/em>. His fellow contenders in the category include Danny Burstein<\/strong> for Marjorie Prime<\/em>, Brandon J. Dirden<\/strong> for Waiting for Godot<\/em>, Alden Ehrenreich<\/strong> for Becky Shaw<\/em>, Ruben Santiago-Hudson<\/strong> for August Wilson\u2019s Joe Turner\u2019s Come and Gone<\/em> and Richard Thomas<\/em> for The Balusters<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Abbott and Plaza\u2019s Tonys outing comes two months after news broke in April that she is pregnant with the couple\u2019s first baby<\/a>. She subsequently debuted her bump<\/a> while walking her dog in New York City and attended an afterparty with Abbott<\/a> following Death of a Salesman<\/em>\u2019s opening night.<\/p>\n

Later that month, Plaza publicly addressed her pregnancy<\/a> for the first time.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, there\u2019s a baby inside of me,\u201d she said during an April appearance on the \u201cSmartLess\u201d podcast.<\/p>\n

Plaza went on to offer some insight into her experience as an expectant mother.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday was a big day. I went to the doctor\u2019s today, and my dog also went to the doctor\u2019s,\u201d she shared. \u201cBoth of us \u2014 my dog\u2019s getting a scan right now. I got a scan earlier. I\u2019m not kidding.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cShe had to get an ultrasound on her stomach. And then I got an ultrasound on my stomach, and there is a baby in there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Plaza revealed at the time that she was \u201cexcited\u201d to become a mom.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve always wanted to see what that\u2019s all about, you know?\u201d she explained. \u201cIt just seems so interesting, that whole thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The following month, Abbott broke his silence on Plaza\u2019s pregnancy<\/a> while appearing on Today With Jenna and Sheinelle<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cCan we say congratulations?\u201d Jenna Bush Hager<\/strong> asked during the May sit-down. \u201cYou\u2019re expecting a babe.\u201d<\/p>\n

Abbott jokingly replied, \u201cI thought for my Tony nom! No, no, I\u2019m kidding.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Bush Hager, 44, acknowledged that Abbott has \u201ca lot going on\u201d in his work and personal life at the moment, he agreed there was \u201ctoo much going on\u201d to keep up.<\/p>\n
