\n\t\u201cI Knew It, I Knew You,\u201d Taylor Swift<\/a>\u2018s newly-released original song penned for the Toy Story 5 <\/em>movie soundtrack, tops this week\u2019s new music poll<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tListeners voted in a poll published Friday (June 6)\u00a0on\u00a0Billboard<\/em><\/a>, choosing the singer-songwriter\u2019s latest track as their favorite release this week.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI Knew It, I Knew You\u201d rose to the top in a week that also saw new music releases from Tinashe, Vybz Kartel, Niall Horan, Role Model, Lizzo and more. By closing time on Sunday, poll results showed Swift held onto the lead, with 35% of the vote.<\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing a trail of cloud-themed clues, Swift officially announced<\/a> \u201cI Knew It, I Knew You\u201d just days before its Friday debut, sharing she\u2019d \u201calways dreamed of getting to write for these characters who I\u2019ve adored since I was a 5 year old kid watching the first Toy Story movie. I fell instantly in love with Toy Story 5 when I was lucky enough to see it in its early stages, and I wrote this song as soon as I got home from the screening.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI Knew It, I Knew You,\u201d which has Swift reuniting in the studio with longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff \u2014 she\u2019d shifted to Max Martin and Shellback production on The Life of a Showgirl<\/em> \u2014 musically harkens back to the star\u2019s earlier pop-country era and has the song\u2019s narrator leaving the porch light on for her muse: \u201cI remembered I loved you\/ Came back when it mattered, I saw you \/Standing there in the light of the window wearing that same smile\/ Man, it\u2019s been a while\/ But I knew it, I knew you,\u201d she sings warmly.<\/p>\n

\n\tSoon after its release, the song was accompanied by an animated video featuring clips of Jessie, Woody and Buzz from the Pixar and Disney Toy Story<\/em> film franchise. Toy Story 5 <\/em>opens in theaters on June 19.<\/p>\n

\n\tAmong the new releases trailing behind Swift\u2019s \u201cI Knew It, I Knew You\u201d this week are Tinashe\u2019s \u201cToo Easy,\u201d with 28% of the vote; Vybz Kartel\u2019s God & Time<\/em>, with 18% of the vote, and Niall Horan\u2019s Dinner Party<\/em>, with 5% of the vote.<\/p>\n
