Conway the Machine<\/a> is again letting his respect for Drake<\/a> be known by putting his own spin on \u201cMake Them Pay<\/a>,\u201d a track off Iceman<\/em><\/a>, currently the No. 1 album in the country.<\/p>\n

Monday night (June 1), the Griselda<\/a> co-founder let fans hear how he sounds on the track, which quickly made headlines in its original form thanks to some choice lyrics from the 6 god aimed at DJ Khaled<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI heard you paint houses,\u201d Conway remarks at the top of his take on the track, seen in studio footage below.<\/p>\n

From there, he recalls being stopped in traffic by autograph-seeking fans, plus a revelatory summer he spent in Greece.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf it wasn\u2019t for Griselda, what would I be? \/ Or maybe, what would Griselda be if it wasn\u2019t for me?\u201d he raps at one point.<\/p>\n

A dinner with Jay-Z<\/a> also gets a mention from Conway, as does \u201ca procedure that I heard about that could fix my face with the acupuncture needles.\u201d<\/p>\n

As of this writing, Drake hasn\u2019t yet publicly acknowledged this interpretation of what has proven to be a key Iceman<\/em> track. This is not, however, the first time Conway has taken a liking to something from his catalog. Previously, he freestyled<\/a> over \u201cDo Not Disturb,\u201d a song off Drake\u2019s 2017 project More Life<\/em>.<\/p>\n

With Iceman<\/em>, released in tandem with Maid of Honour<\/em> and Habibti <\/em>in May<\/a>, Drake entered new territory on the charts, all while helping other artists\u2014including Molly Santana and Popcaan<\/a>\u2014score their first-ever Hot 100 appearances.<\/p>\n
