On June 20, admission is $1 for children, $5 for adults and $10 to $20 for a VIP experience. Admission on June 21 will be free.<\/p>\n<p>Juneteenth, which became a federal holiday in 2021, marks the day in 1865 when enslaved people in Galveston learned of their freedom, two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.<\/p>\n<p>The festival will include live music, food trucks, vendors, health and wellness initiatives, family activities, community and education exhibits and more. Enjoy music, games and fun at the Corpus Christi Bayfront. Attire is black and white or cowboy chic. The dance is for adults aged 21 and older. Tickets: $30 to $40. Bankz, the Bayou City Brass Band and rapper Bun B.
