Last month, Richard Patrick<\/strong> of Filter<\/strong> announced his new deathstep & industrial project<\/a> with photographer, composer and musician Jim Louvau. Promising to be “super heavy and be just amazing,” Patrick promised a June 5th release date. In conjunction with their self-titled EP’s release, the band have now released a music video for their track “Jet Engine” directed by Tony Aguilera, whose previous credits include Stitched Up Heart and Exodus. <\/p>\n The song talks about the elite of the United States and the western world. In a statement, Patrick spoke on the meaning of “Jet Engine,”<\/p>\n \u201cJet Engine\u2019 all started off with a sound from my Sequential Pro 3 keyboard. Once I got the baseline rocking, I added some drums and some ambient textures. As far as what it\u2019s about, that\u2019s up to you. I would rather you come up with your interpretation of it. To us, it\u2019s a call to arms against the newly forming oligarchy that\u2019s suppressing Western civilization.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n He went on to add,<\/p>\n \u201cThe Jet Engine of Fuck You was a nickname given to me by producer Sean Beavan during the There Is No Us record; that\u2019s how he describes my voice and the style of music I make. The song is very intentionally rebellious and it came together very quickly in the studio and it\u2019s as catchy as a cold.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n While no shows are lined up for the duo at this time, the EP is out on DSPs<\/a> and they have merch<\/a> available if you want to support the project.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
