The Reno Rodeo Association has requested the use of a portion of Wells Avenue for additional controlled access and improved traffic flow, into and out of the event.<\/p>\n
Gate 3, located off Wells directly west of Sutro, will again serve as the cowboy\/cowgirl contestant entrance. Gate 2.5 will provide access into the north public parking area. Gate 6, off Sutro, will be the entrance to the south public parking areas. ADA parking is available in both the north and south parking lots. Gate 2, Gate 4 and the Health Department Gate will be exit only. All gates will be opened after each night\u2019s performance to assist with the flow of exiting traffic.<\/p>\n
In conjunction with Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (GSR), the Reno Rodeo will provide free parking and a free shuttle to the rodeo grounds. The GSR parking and shuttle will be available daily, June 18\u201327 from 2:30 p.m. until midnight. There will also be designated areas for casino shuttle drop-off and rideshare\/taxi.<\/p>\n\nTraffic circulation will include the following modifications:<\/h2>\n\n- Wells Avenue will be reduced to two lanes.<\/li>\n
- One-way, west\/southbound traffic on Wells Avenue from Sutro Street to 9th Street in the vicinity of the Reno Sparks Livestock Events Center.<\/li>\n
- Northbound traffic on Wells Avenue will be diverted east at 9th Street and north at Sutro Street.<\/li>\n
- Only left turns will be permitted into and out of the rodeo grounds from Wells Avenue. Full turning movements will be allowed on 9th Street and Sutro Street. Traffic will be directed by signage.<\/li>\n
- Rideshare\/taxi drop-off and pick-up on Wells Avenue will be located south of Gate 2 and north of the Health Department Gate.<\/li>\n
- A bus stop north of Gate 2.0 will provide free shuttle service to the free parking at GSR at 2500 East 2nd St.<\/li>\n
- Casino shuttle drop-off and pick-up areas will be provided between Gate 2.0 and Gate 2.5, and between the Health Department Gate and Gate 1.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n
