Our new brand is about celebrating the enduring power of songwriting and giving it a clear voice, a lasting home, and a stronger future. It\u2019s an open, evolving identity dedicated to songs, songwriters, and the people behind them; taking on new meaning wherever music goes.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>The symbol represents the worldwide community of songwriters and reflects how UMPG\u2019s reach helps songs travel across borders and cultures.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>In addition to the new logo and visuals, the identity includes a purpose statement: \u201cUniversal Music Publishing Group exists to advance the collaborative, personal, human act of creating songs. We get songs heard. We get songwriters paid. Designed to demystify the world of music publishing, the short-form videos feature members of UMPG\u2019s global team explaining key aspects of the business \u2013 from A&amp;R and <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.musicweek.com\/labels\/read\/umg-ups-francisca-goncalves-to-recordings-publishing-global-sync-head-at-classics-jazz-screen\/093528\"><span>sync licensing<\/span><\/a><span> to royalties and administration \u2013 while providing an inside look at how music publishers support songwriters at every stage of their careers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>New Publishing 101 videos will be posted each Tuesday (5pm in the UK) across UMPG\u2019s digital and social platforms, including umpg.com, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>The UMPG brand identity was developed with GrandArmy.
