The new lineup moves the venue beyond its traditional movie screenings by bringing music, stand-up, and tribute performances to one of Orange County\u2019s most recognisable stages.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since 2024, Hollywood producer Jospeh \u201cMcG\u201d Nichol and Jordan Otterbein of River Jetty Restaurant Group have worked to pair The Lido\u2019s Golden Age Hollywood roots with a series of performances from modern artists. Their goal has been to create a space that appeals to a wide range of O.C. locals while honouring the theater\u2019s legacy as a premier art deco entertainment destination since 1939. For McG, a Newport Beach native, that vision involves making the venue feel both classic and current. As he puts it, The Lido is becoming \u201csomething special\u201d where live performances feel \u201cintimate, nostalgic and exciting all at once.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This growing roster has already brought internationally renowned acts to its stage, including the Gipsy Kings, Sugar Ray, and Dwight Yoakam. Demand is also building for upcoming shows, with David Spade\u2019s June 28 performance expanding to include a second date on June 25 due to popular demand. The summer and fall lineup begins June 20 with The Long Run, an Eagles tribute band.
