\n\tBleecker Street<\/a> Films and LD Entertainment<\/a> have acquired the U.S. rights to Anton Corbijn<\/a>\u2019s latest film, \u201cA Talent For Murder,\u201d which stars Oscar-, Emmy- and Tony winner Helen Mirren<\/a> as celebrated novelist Patricia Highsmith (\u201cThe Talented Mr. Ripley\u201d).<\/p>\n \n\tIn the twisty thriller, Alden Ehrenreich (\u201cWeapons,\u201d \u201cOppenheimer\u201d and a newly minted Tony winner for \u201cBecky Shaw\u201d) plays a callow young literary agent from New York who is sent to Switzerland to persuade Highsmith to write one final installment of the Ripley anthology. \u201cHouse of the Dragon\u201d star Olivia Cooke rounds out the lead trio. <\/p>\n \n\tCorbijn (\u201cThe American,\u201d \u201cA Most Wanted Man\u201d) directs the film, based on the 2014 play \u201cSwitzerland\u201d by prolific Australian playwright, screenwriter and novelist Joanna Murray-Smith, who adapted it for the screen. \u201cA Talent For Murder\u201d will be relased theatrically this fall. <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWe are thrilled to be reuniting once again with LD, as well as the great Helen Mirren, to release Corbijn\u2019s captivating ode to not only Highsmith\u2019s lively spirit, but her riveting work itself,\u201d said Bleecker Street CEO Kent Sanderson in a press release announcing the acquisition.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201c\u2019A Talent For Murder\u2019 is exactly the kind of project we love making at LD.
