Penelope Isles released their sophomore album <em><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/stereogum.com\/2157690\/penelope-isles-iced-gems\/music\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Which Way To Happy<\/a><\/em> in 2021, and then the Wolters went off and did other things. Lily spent an extended sojourn surfing in Sri Lanka and Indonesia, while Jack toured as CMAT&#8217;s guitarist. Also, both of them put out their own solo music \u2014 Lily as <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/stereogum.com\/2494092\/my-precious-bunny-kookiecannibal\/music\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">My Precious Bunny<\/a>, Jack as Cubzoa. But now the Wolters are back together, with a new Penelope Isles album on the way.<\/p>\n<p>Penelope Isles recorded their forthcoming LP <em>3<\/em> live as a trio, with their friend Joe Taylor on drums. The Wolters wrote all the songs on a month-long surfing trip to Lagos, Portugal, which sounds nice. Lead single &#8220;Thinking Seat&#8221; is a pretty shimmer, and it&#8217;s got a very fun video where the two siblings explain the concept of the clip and worry aloud that nobody&#8217;s going to watch the fucking thing.
