Fitness influencer Chelsea Jenks<\/strong> credits her father with the idea to join OnlyFans<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy dad is really into boxing, and you get a lot of women boxers who also do OnlyFans,\u201d Jenks, 29, said in a press release shared with Us Weekly on Tuesday, June 9. \u201cYears before I ever started, he actually said to me, \u2018You should do OnlyFans.\u2019 There was a female boxer he followed who had \u2018no nudes\u2019 written in her bio, and he thought it seemed like a good way to make money<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

The adult content creator continued, \u201cI remember explaining to him it was a lot more than just pictures and I wasn\u2019t sure if I wanted to do it. Then, a couple of years later, I finally launched my page. It\u2019s funny that my dad was the one who put the idea of joining OnlyFans in my head before anyone else.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jenks, whose Instagram account has 203,000 followers, explained that her father was strict while she was growing up and had strict rules about boys.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I was like 16, I remember asking my dad, \u2018Oh, can I go stay at my boyfriend\u2019s house?\u2019 And he would straight up be like, \u2018No,\u2019\u201d she said. \u201cHe didn\u2019t want me to have sleepovers with boys, and we\u2019d have to be in separate beds and things like that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jenks said she told her father about her OnlyFans account shortly after its debut, expecting an awkward conversation.<\/p>\n

\u201cI saw my dad that weekend and said, \u2018I\u2019ve started OnlyFans, I don\u2019t know if you saw.\u2019 He\u2019d already seen it and was just like, \u2018Yeah, that\u2019s alright,\u2019\u201d she recalled, adding that the account is now a running joke between them. \u201cHe\u2019ll say things like, \u2018Chelsea would flash her boobs and get paid for it.\u2019 It\u2019s very tongue-in-cheek.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jenks continued, \u201cHe 100 percent knows I do topless content. That\u2019s always been clear. He asked me when I signed up what I\u2019d be posting on there, and I was like, \u2018Um, probably just, like, a bra, and maybe some see-through underwear?\u2019 My parents know I do OnlyFans and that it\u2019s more than just posting photos online. But I don\u2019t think they need to know all the specifics, and honestly, I think that\u2019s completely normal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jenks added that her parents \u201clove me for who I am\u201d and have never judged her career choice.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a good daughter, I\u2019m respectful, and I\u2019ve got good manners. As long as I\u2019m like that with them, they don\u2019t really care what I do for work,\u201d the British influencer said. \u201cI see girls posting about their dads sending them horrible messages about doing OnlyFans. My parents might not love every detail of what I do, but they just want me to be happy and to make as much money as I can while I\u2019m doing it to help set myself up for the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

While her parents have been accepting of her OnlyFans journey, Jenks said others haven\u2019t been so open to the idea.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I first started, I went on a content trip with girls who were more in the porn star space. A family friend unfollowed me,\u201d she recalled. \u201cI messaged her to ask if I\u2019d done something wrong, and she said she\u2019d seen me on this trip with \u2018all these porn stars\u2019 and that putting my bum on Instagram was embarrassing. It was obvious the problem was OnlyFans.\u201d<\/p>\n
