{"id":2451998,"date":"2026-06-09T21:10:11","date_gmt":"2026-06-09T21:10:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2451998"},"modified":"2026-06-09T21:10:11","modified_gmt":"2026-06-09T21:10:11","slug":"jack-white-quietly-reveals-new-album-frozen-charlotte-via-presale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/jack-white-quietly-reveals-new-album-frozen-charlotte-via-presale\/","title":{"rendered":"Jack White Quietly Reveals New Album, &#8216;Frozen Charlotte,&#8217; Via Presale"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/jack-white\/\" id=\"auto-tag_jack-white\" data-tag=\"jack-white\">Jack White<\/a> has a followup album to the acclaimed \u201cNo Name\u201d coming this summer, titled \u201cFrozen Charlotte\u201d\u2026 and it\u2019s already quietly gone on sale for pre-order on his website, despite the lack of any other official announcement of the project.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe pre-order page for two different vinyl variants of the LP on White\u2019s site says the previously unknown album will ship on July 10, though it\u2019s not clear if that is the official release date for other formats or editions as well. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tA rep for White did not immediately return <em>Variety<\/em>\u2018s request for comment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tRevealing the album via a sales listing is not <em>quite<\/em> as novel as the way in which \u201cNo Name\u201d was announced, in which unmarked, white-label copies of the LP just began to be surreptitiously placed into customers\u2019 bags at Third Man Records retail locations. But the nearly stealth reveal for \u201cFrozen Charlotte\u201d \u2014 or at least low-key for the moment \u2014 is in keeping with White\u2019s tendency to do things in an unusual manner.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe product description suggests that anyone who liked \u201cNo Name\u201d and the touring that followed \u2014 and that would seem to be most of his fan base \u2014 will be pleased with this one taking off in a similar direction.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tSays the blurb, \u201c\u2018Frozen Charlotte\u2019 \u2013 the 7th studio album from Jack White \u2014 shows the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer at his best; backed by an incredible band (Patrick Keeler on drums, Dominic Davis on bass, Bobby Emmett on keys) whose collective hand is scorching hot after coming off a tour of universally-acclaimed performances. Instead of resting on a \u2018job well done,\u2019 they went straight to work in the studio and laid down what became \u2018Frozen Charlotte.\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cRecorded in White\u2019s Third Man Studio in Nashville, this album shows Jack carrying on the same raucous, raw, and frenetic energy from his lauded 2024 album, \u2018No Name.\u2019 13 tracks of distinct feel and tone, \u2018Frozen Charlotte\u2019 is an intense rock and roll punch with never far behind blues underpinnings\u2026all of which fits right at home with long time fans while leaving an inviting open door to newcomers alike.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tTwo editions of the vinyl album are available, so far \u2014 one with a blue swirl and another with a crumpled, creamy appearance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAs of this writing, White\u2019s social media does not have any signs of an album announcement, but he did devote recent Instagram posts to explaining how the cover image and concept came about.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cAn old carnival prize chalkware statue from the 1940\u2019s of a sailor boy falls over in my recording studio and its head breaks off,\u201d White recounts in the IG caption. \u201cI grab a nearby blue skull shaker percussion object and glue it in the head\u2019s place. I paint the body white and suddenly an all new character avatar that I called \u2018Frozen Charlotte\u2019 came to life. A \u2018frozen Charlotte\u2019 is a penny doll toy from victorian times, they were ceramic but could float or have a dress put over, recalling an old folk song about a girl who froze to death from not dressing properly in the winter. I wanted to make the modern version of chalk ware of the 40\u2019s and 50\u2019s which to me is 3D printed plastic. We took the piece to be scanned and CAD filed in order to make more of her with the help of Daniel Birkhead at\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/pr3nter_inc\/\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">@pr3nter_inc<\/a>\u00a0and my good man Daniel Mancini facilitating. Then sanding, priming, spraying back at my own shop to create numerous avatars of her including a male trixter hero version named the \u2018Frozen Charlatan\u2019 who is the chrome metallic alter ego. Some of them felt like they needed to include the original broken off sailor\u2019s head. Many versions of the sculpture started to come out of me, different personalities and characters, some to mimic the fast airbrush style of cheap carnival prizes made assembly line style, and some more elaborately painted, all of which are in the art show.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe caption further notes that \u201cmany of these pieces are on display and for sale at the \u2018These Thoughts May Disappear\u2019 exhibition at the Newport Street Gallery, London UK till Sept. 13th.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-content-image \/\/  size-full alignnone \">\n<figure class=\"o-figure  lrv-u-font-family-secondary u-color-medium-grey lrv-u-border-b-1 u-border-color-light-grey-tint-two u-margin-b-150 lrv-u-max-width-100p\" style=\"width:734px\">\n<div class=\"c-lazy-image  \">\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p><\/div><figcaption class=\"c-figcaption  \">\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tA single from the album, \u201cG.O.D. and the Broken Ribs,\u201d previously went on sale and quickly sold out on the Third Man site, with no indication at the time of whether it presaged a full album or was a one-off.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe tracklist:<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tG.O.D.
