Kyle Chrisley<\/strong> has been indicted on charges of assault, public intoxication and more in connection to his December 2025 arrest, Us Weekly<\/em> can exclusively reveal.<\/p>\n

On June 2, a grand jury in Rutherford County, Tennessee, indicted the Chrisley Knows Best<\/em> alum<\/a>, 34, on three counts of assault on law enforcement, three counts of retaliation for past action, one count of resisting arrest, one count of disorderly conduct and one count of public intoxication, according to court docs obtained by Us<\/em>.<\/p>\n

According to the indictment, Chrisley allegedly \u201cunlawfully and knowingly\u201d committed an assault on a police officer by \u201cstriking said officer with his hand or fist.\u201d He also allegedly threatened \u201cto kill\u201d the officer in retaliation for being arrested and attempted to resist arrest by using \u201cforce\u201d against the officer.<\/p>\n

The documents also allege that Chrisley appeared \u201cin a public place with intent to cause the public annoyance\u201d and appeared to be \u201cunder the influence of a controlled substance, controlled substance analogue or any other intoxicating substance.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tKyle Chrisley has filed a $1.7 million lawsuit against Rutherford County in Tennessee, as well as two sheriff\u2019s deputies, over a September 2024 aggravated assault arrest. In documents obtained by local outlet WSMV on Tuesday, August 19, Kyle, 33, and his wife, Ashleigh, allege that he was falsely arrested at his home in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Chrisley was arrested on December 20, 2025, and booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center in Tennessee, Us confirmed at the time. He was charged with misdemeanor domestic assault, public intoxication, disorderly conduct, three counts of felony retaliation for past actions, three counts of felony assault on first responders and resisting arrest. The domestic assault charge was dismissed upon his indictment.<\/p>\n

Chrisley was released on an $88,500 bond. His arraignment is scheduled for July 23.<\/p>\n

Us<\/em> reached out to Chrisley for comment following his arrest.<\/p>\n

According to a press release issued by Sheriff Mike Fitzhugh<\/strong> shortly after Chrisley\u2019s arrest, deputies responded to a call<\/a> on Saturday made by the reality star\u2019s wife, Ashleigh Nelson<\/strong>, who claimed he was being \u201cbelligerent\u201d and walking down the middle of the road while she followed him in her vehicle. When officers arrived at the scene, they attempted to speak with Chrisley, who allegedly \u201cbecame immediately aggressive.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chrisley then allegedly \u201ccharged at deputies and began to throw punches and assault deputies.\u201d He was taken into custody after a \u201cphysical altercation and deployment of OC Spray,\u201d according to the press release. Three officers reportedly \u201csuffered injuries\u201d during the altercation.<\/p>\n

Kyle\u2019s famous family \u2014 including stepmom Julie Chrisley, whom dad Todd Chrisley wed in 1996, and half-siblings Chase Chrisley, Savannah Chrisley and Grayson Chrisley \u2014 rose to fame on their\u00a0Chrisley Knows Best\u00a0reality TV show, which premiered on USA Network\u00a0in 2014. Kyle \u2014 who is the son of Todd Chrisley<\/strong> and Todd\u2019s ex-wife, Teresa Terry<\/strong> \u2014 has a history of run-ins with the law. In 2013, Todd, 57, and wife Julie Chrisley<\/strong> received joint custody of Kyle\u2019s daughter, Chloe, now 13, after he was arrested for assault. The pair later received full custody of Chloe in 2016.<\/p>\n

In March 2023, Kyle was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. Prosecutors ultimately dismissed the charges before trial.<\/p>\n

Kyle was arrested again for aggravated assault in September 2024. The following August, he and his wife sued Rutherford County and two sheriff\u2019s deputies for $1.7 million, claiming he was unfairly arrested.<\/p>\n
