TIETON \u2014 Music and digital art collide Thursday night when FLUX takes over Shorthead Brewing with an immersive audio-visual performance beginning at 9 p.m.<\/p>\n
The project pairs DJ Hunter, also known as Israel James Hunter, with visual artist and creative technologist Jon Nutting, known as VJ IMAJON. Together, the duo creates a live experience that blends improvised electronic music with synchronized visuals projected throughout the space.<\/p>\n

The pair often incorporates installation art, projection work and elements of spatial augmented reality to transform venues into immersive environments.<\/p>\n The idea for FLUX grew out of Hunter\u2019s interest in combining live music with installation art. Already performing as a DJ and creating live sets in Ableton, a music production software, he began exploring ways to make performances more interactive and visually engaging. Their first performance together took place at the Larson Gallery.<\/p>\n The result is part concert and part digital art installation, with music and visuals created and manipulated in real time.
