\n\tWynonna<\/a> will release her first solo album in a decade this fall, when her album The Hard Truth <\/em>releases Oct. 2 via ANTI- Records.<\/p>\n

\n\tThis album will mark her first time co-writing a project and will welcome fellow artists and storytellers Patterson Hood (Drive-By Truckers), The War and Treaty, and Iron & Wine.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019ve spent a lifetime singing about heartbreak, healing, faith, and survival, but I\u2019ve never made a record like this one,\u201d Wynonna said in a statement about the album. \u201cThese songs tell the truth about where I\u2019ve been, what I\u2019ve lost, what I\u2019ve overcome, and who I\u2019ve become. This album asked me to be brave enough to tell the truth\u2014even when my voice shook. It challenged me to let go of perfectionism and embrace the beauty of honest emotion. My hope is that when you hear these songs, you feel what I was feeling while writing and recording them. If they help someone feel seen, understood, or a little less alone, then every hard truth was worth telling.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWynonna worked with her husband, producer\/musician Cactus Moser, to create the project\u2019s songs.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBeing a part of this record,\u00a0and helping bring these songs to life as its producer,\u00a0has been the most important work\u00a0I\u2019ve known,\u201d Moser said in a statement. \u201cWe started with nothing but\u00a0a feeling\u00a0and\u00a0emotion and ended up\u00a0with an entire album that\u00a0captures\u00a0Wynonna\u2019s\u00a0story\u00a0with a level of honesty\u00a0she\u2019s never experienced in her career.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0the\u00a0kind of record that\u00a0makes a difference and\u00a0reminds you why music exists in the first place.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe album\u2019s lead single, \u201cKentucky Queen,\u201d finds Wynonna singing of forging triumph from dark times, while also reclaiming her home state. Wynonna wrote the song with Moser, Sarah Siskind and Justin Weaver.<\/p>\n

\n\tThis summer, Wynonna will be on a co-headlining tour with Melissa Etheridge and will also lead a mini-tour of Kentucky shows, including a concert in Wynonna\u2019s hometown of Ashland.<\/p>\n
