On Monday\u2019s episode of \u201cLate Night,\u201d Meyers managed to point out the most embarrassing aspect of the president\u2019s attendance at Game 3 of the NBA finals between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs \u2014 and it wasn\u2019t that <\/span>Trump got a ton of boos<\/span><\/a> from the crowd at Madison Square Garden.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cTrump going to a Knicks game makes it 100 times funnier that he didn\u2019t go to his own son\u2019s wedding,\u201d Meyers said, referring to the president\u2019s eldest son, <\/span>Donald Trump Jr<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWhat a knife twist,\u201d Meyers continued. \u201cI bet when Don Jr. was little, Trump would play catch with the neighbor\u2019s kid.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Last month, <\/span>the president explained<\/span><\/a> that he couldn\u2019t attend Donald Trump Jr.\u2019s wedding in the Bahamas to socialite Bettina Anderson because of the Iran war.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWhile I very much wanted to be with my son, Don Jr., and the newest member of the Trump Family, his soon to be wife, Bettina, circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so,\u201d the president wrote on his social media platform <\/span>Truth Social<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Despite the war still being in full swing, Trump did find the time to show up to an NBA game on Monday, causing a headache for everyday Knicks fans in New York City.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n A watch party outside of Madison Square Garden \u2014 meant for folks who couldn\u2019t afford pricy tickets to the game and wanted to gather with fellow fans \u2014 <\/span>was canceled<\/span><\/a> thanks to Trump\u2019s security detail.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Ticket-holding fans also had to arrive at the arena <\/span>two hours early<\/span><\/a> to accommodate the president.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
