Kansas City Royals outfielder Kyle Isbel left Tuesday\u2019s 5-3 victory over the Texas Rangers<\/a> with a plantar fascia injury in his left foot<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In the seventh inning, Isbel reached base with a single but came up limping as he made the turn toward second. He dove back into first base and grimaced in pain.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Manager Matt Quatraro and members of the Royals\u2019 medical staff came out of the dugout to assist. Isbel walked off the field on his own power, but Tyler Tolbert replaced him in the game.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Afterward, Quatraro provided an update.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s been playing with a sore foot for quite a while,\u201d Quatraro said of Isbel. \u201cBut we won\u2019t know the severity of it until we get a scan tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Isbel finished 1 for 2 at the plate. Tolbert played the final two innings in center field as the Royals won and improved to 28-39.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Isbel is the latest Royals player to be sidelined by an injury this year. Second baseman Jonathan India (shoulder) is likely out for the remainder of the season.
