Caleb Shomo<\/strong><\/a> opened up the moment he knew he was ready to come out to wife Fleur Shomo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was in the shower trying to talk myself into saying something as I had been many times. And thankfully, I kind of smacked myself in the face. I was like, \u2018It\u2019s f***ing time,\u2019\u201d the Beartooth frontman, 33, said on the Wednesday, June 10, episode of Katie Maloney<\/strong> and Dayna Kathan<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cDisrespectfully\u201d<\/a> podcast. \u201cAnd then I said something to my then-wife about how I feel about men and how I never really allowed myself to explore this. But I have to tell you, I can\u2019t not. And it was just a road from there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shomo decided to be candid about his sexuality with Fleur, 32, during a trip to Palm Springs after feeling \u201cso safe\u201d to share his true thoughts.<\/p>\n

\u201cI never allowed myself to go down any of those roads to the best of my f***ing ability in my nondreaming state of mind,\u201d he recalled. \u201cDoing every thing I can to just f***ing keep this at bay.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tFleur Shomo has been by husband Caleb Shomo\u2019s side long before he publicly came out. Caleb and Fleur were first linked in 2010 and tied the knot two years later. Since then, Fleur has been by Caleb\u2019s side while he was in the band Attack Attack before becoming Beartooth\u2019s frontman. In May 2026, Caleb came [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Shomo also shared he felt \u201cterrified\u201d to acknowledge the feelings he had pushed down for so many years.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was just bawling my f***ing eyes out, trying so hard to verbalize and I really struggle to verbalize things,\u201d he admitted. \u201cAnd this is obviously such an intense thing, and I\u2019m feeling so nervous and so scared in the situation that it was really, really difficult to verbalize, and I didn\u2019t verbalize it very well. I tried my best. I\u2019m trying to give myself grace and understand it\u2019s a journey.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shomo was able to explain to Fleur that he had feelings for men and had been \u201crunning from\u201d that idea \u201cfor a long f***ing time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think I want to run anymore,\u201d he recalled of their heart-to-heart conversation. \u201cThen after that, the f***ing hinges got ripped out.\u201d<\/p>\n

After coming out, Shomo felt like everything started to \u201cmake sense\u201d and some of the negative feelings he had about himself started to dissipate.<\/p>\n

Last month, Shomo came out about his sexuality in a public statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere has been a lot of speculation surrounding my personal life as of late and I feel compelled to set the record straight before it affects those I love any further. I am a proudly gay man,\u201d the musician wrote via Instagram in May. \u201cThis is something I\u2019ve been unpacking and reckoning with in my life for quite some time now. It\u2019s been difficult to navigate the feelings surrounding the subject and figure out what to do with this fact.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shortly after Caleb\u2019s post went viral, Fleur expressed her support<\/a> for him.<\/p>\n
