Kansas City Royals first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino and his wife, Ryann Pasquantino, announced that she is pregnant on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Royals first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino and his wife, Ryann Pasquantino, announced Wednesday they are expecting their first child.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cBaby Pasquantino coming this fall,\u201d the couple wrote on their joint Instagram announcement. They posed with Ryann\u2019s sonogram pics and shared a video of the gender reveal \u2014 with the family dog.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

They gave him a small cake iced with the words \u201cBaby Pasquantino is …\u201d<\/p>\n

Then they let him chomp down.<\/p>\n

\u201cCome on Bear … come on Bear you can do it,\u201d the baseballer urged the dog as it got caught up licking the icing and wouldn\u2019t chomp down.<\/p>\n

Then finally, he took a mouthful revealing that the cake inside was blue.<\/p>\n

Maggie Witt, wife of Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr., led a litany of congratulations from other player wives. \u201cScreaming, crying, throwing up all over again,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cScream and shout the Pasquantinos are having a babyyyyyy!!\u201d wrote Tori Ragans, wife of pitcher Cole Ragans.<\/p>\n

This baby boy is going to have a nickname for sure.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cMINNIE VINNIEEEEE!!!! Cant wait to meet this baby boy!!!!!!!!\u201d wrote Jane Massey, wife of second baseman Michael Massey.<\/p>\n

The Pasquantinos got married in December 2023. He got down on one knee in September 2022 and proposed in Loose Park after the final home game of the season.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Pasquantinos were college sweethearts and student athletes at Old Dominion University where he played baseball and she played soccer.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

There\u2019s been quite a bumper crop of babies born in the Royals family over the last couple of seasons<\/a> with at least six players\u2019 families welcoming little ones.<\/p>\n
