YouTuber Jesse Ridgway<\/strong><\/a> is doubling down on his decision to speak out about him and his wife Ashley<\/strong> deciding to have an abortion.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of the pro-life people are wishing death upon me and my wife, which is hypocritical,\u201d Jesse, 33, said in a series of Instagram Stories<\/a> videos on Wednesday, June 10. \u201cA lot of them use God and Jesus as their weapon and their justification, but it doesn\u2019t matter to me, because I\u2019m not religious. I don\u2019t believe in God. I don\u2019t believe in the bible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jesse said he and Ashley, 31, have received numerous death threats<\/a> since sharing the news earlier this month that they decided to terminate their pregnancy after discovering their baby had been diagnosed with fetal Down syndrome.<\/p>\n

The YouTube star \u2014 who goes by the moniker McJuggerNuggets \u2014 said that he doesn\u2019t \u201cjudge people for believing in\u201d religion but, \u201cWhen you start to use it as a weapon, then it becomes problematic.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tYouTuber Jesse Ridgway is firing back at conspiracy theories after sharing that he and his wife, Ashley, made the \u201cdifficult decision to terminate\u201d her pregnancy after receiving a fetal Down syndrome diagnosis. \u201cYa\u2019ll can\u2019t even keep your stories straight, it\u2019s crazy,\u201d Jesse, 33, wrote in a statement shared via his Instagram Stories and X account [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Jesse said, \u201cPeople saying, \u2018Go to hell,\u2019 it doesn\u2019t matter because I can\u2019t go there, I don\u2019t believe in it. Even for the religious folks, don\u2019t we believe in forgiveness? We\u2019ve all sinned, right? I\u2019m gonna keep pushing, guys. I would encourage more conversation about this topic.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sure a lot of people that would even judge me are going to be confronting this potential situation or other chromosomal abnormalities. It happens. I did not think it would happen to me, and here I am,\u201d he continued. \u201cNever in a million years did I expect to be a poster child for abortion, because as a dude, it\u2019s not really something you confront.\u201d<\/p>\n

He summed up the backlash, saying, \u201cIt\u2019s absolutely crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tYouTube star Jesse Ridgway offered more insight into the decision he and wife Ashley Ridgway made to get an abortion. \u201cWe were confronting the scenario of having the baby, and playing out every possible scenario about what it would look like and how we would make it work, what happens if they have these health [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThis week, my wife and I made the very difficult decision to terminate the pregnancy due to Trisomy 21,\u201d he wrote. \u201cThe choice was not made lightly. We really appreciate all of the personal stories that you guys shared with us, especially the unconditional support we receive from fans with no matter what we decided.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI know some of you may be very disappointed to hear this news. We are devastated,\u201d Jesse added. \u201cThis has been extremely traumatic for both of us, especially Ashley.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple shared that their baby had fetal Down syndrome in April.<\/p>\n
