Now, with his latest collaboration alongside North West, daughter of Kim Kardashian<\/span><\/a> and Kanye West, Novi is making headlines as a potential rising star in hip-hop.<\/div>\n

Lil Wayne \u2013 of course \u2013 is a five-time Grammy winner and a defining voice in rap, while Nivea made her mark in R&B in the early 2000s. As Lil Novi now seeks to carve his own path in music, he says he doesn\u2019t think \u201ctoo hard\u201d about the nepo baby label. \u201cI\u2019m used to it. I just look at them as regular parents,\u201d he told Vibe recently.<\/p>\n

But music was an undeniable constant in the young artist\u2019s household. \u201cI just took inspiration from seeing my brother make his first song. When I saw that, I wanted to record and stuff. I wanted to take it seriously for real,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Novi is the youngest of four \u2013 his elder siblings being Reginae, Dwayne III and Kameron \u2013 all born to different mothers.<\/p>\n

Novi launched his music career in 2024, releasing his first singles \u201cSpinach Dip\u201d and \u201cTaliban\u201d that year. His first album, Bat Kave, dropped that October, followed by B4 The Albvm the following month. He has cited artists La Flame, P\u2019ierre Bourne and Playboi Carti as his inspirations.<\/p>\n

Since then, he has collaborated with artists such as Mag!c and K3no on the We Are Young Money M\u00f6tley Kr\u00ebw album by the rap collective in 2025. He has also been steadily releasing EPs, including 2025\u2019s Tour Life. He appears on his father\u2019s most recent album, Tha Carter VI, on the track \u201cMula Komin In\u201d.<\/p>\n

In 2024, when he was asked who he considers the GOAT of rap, he said, \u201cObviously, my dad \u2026 But for me, I\u2019d say like \u2026 [Playboi] Carti is like the Wayne now. So yeah, Carti.\u201d<\/p>\n
