Here, bored kids in a small town in Texas find purpose and friendship through the soccer games their new (British) teacher forces them to compete in. There’s a little romance, a still-timely immigration subplot and \u2026 a green goat. It’s about Mexican football culture, but it’s also a really good representation of Mexican comedy. It’s dark humor, but I love it. My second favorite is ‘Goal!’ That’s the one we all grew up with, with Kuno Becker \u2014 the story about a guy who goes to Newcastle and makes his dream come true through hard work.
