Online<\/a><\/p>\n Channing Tatum<\/strong><\/a>, <\/span>Jonah Hill<\/strong><\/a> and <\/span>Ice Cube<\/a> <\/strong>may be ready to grab some handcuffs once again.<\/span><\/p>\n Indeed, more than a decade after the trio starred in <\/span>22 Jump Street<\/span>, a new movie in the franchise is locked and loaded, the film’s producer confirmed June 10.<\/span><\/p>\n Neal H. Moritz<\/strong> shared a photo on his Instagram<\/a> of the <\/span>24 Jump Street<\/span> script\u2014written by Hill, <\/span>Megan Malloy<\/strong> and the upcoming film’s director <\/span>Rodney Rothman<\/strong>\u2014that read, “It took so long to make, we had to skip one.”<\/span><\/p>\n Alongside the announcement, he captioned the post, “A picture says a thousand words!”<\/span><\/p>\n Meanwhile, Tatum, Hill and Ice Cube (real name <\/span>O’Shea Jackson, Sr.<\/strong>) are currently in talks to return as stars of the third film in the franchise, multiple outlets<\/a> have reported<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n Although <\/span>Phil Lord<\/strong> and <\/span>Chris Miller<\/strong> won’t be helming the movie as they did for 2012’s <\/span>21 Jump Street<\/span> and its 2014 sequel, they were recruited as producers, along with Hill and Tatum.<\/span><\/p>\n More from E! Online<\/strong><\/p>\n A <\/span>23 Jump Street<\/span> film was previously in the works, designed as a crossover between the cop comedy and the <\/span>Men in Black<\/span> franchise that was ultimately scrapped, according to leaked Sony Pictures emails in 2014, <\/span>obtained by<\/span> Variety<\/span>. <\/span><\/p>\n “There is a project that was written,” Tatum told Comicbook.com<\/a> in June 2024, “and it’s still the best script that I’ve ever read for a third movie.”<\/span><\/p>\n Despite little movement on <\/span>the initial third installment<\/span>, the <\/span>Magic Mike<\/span> star was still manifesting a new chapter for his and Hill’s cop duo, Jenko and Schmidt, who go undercover as students in a high school and, later, a college.<\/span><\/p>\n “You know what, I’m going to put some good juju out there and I’m going to say I would love to see <\/span>23 Jump Street<\/span>,” he told the outlet. “I would love to do it with Jonah, and Jonah, I know, wants to do it.
