From the formerly moribund blocks<\/a> of South Downtown to Decatur<\/a>, the Beltline<\/a>, the old celebrity.land Center<\/a>, and Atlanta\u2019s long-suffering Gulch<\/a>, a historic season of grand openings is afoot across our fair city. Here\u2019s another for the list, bound for a prominent downtown corner soon.\u00a0<\/p>\n

RPB Management Group, the Atlanta-based hospitality company behind downtown concepts Red Phone Booth and Neapolitan eatery Amalfi Cucina + Mercato, has announced a June 17 grand opening for what\u2019s described as a \u201cmulti-venue dining and entertainment campus\u201d where Peachtree Street meets Andrew Young International Boulevard.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Once finished, the 207 Peachtree project will include six different concepts spread across a restored, 1920s building\u2014the original home of Regenstein\u2019s Department Store\u2014that spans 45,000 square feet.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The goal, according to project leaders, is to retain as much of the building\u2019s \u201coriginal soul\u201d as possible by restoring it and \u201cletting guests feel the history.\u201d<\/p>\n

Set to join Red Phone Booth and Amalfi next week are concepts Peachtree Sporting Club<\/a> and American Dive<\/a>. A rooftop lounge and large ballroom are also in the works, but no ETAs for those components have been specified.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 207 Peachtree St. building, designed by Atlanta architecture firm Pringle & Smith, was home to Regenstein\u2019s until the retail landmark closed in 1978. Both Red Phone Booth and Amalfi have operated in the building since 2016.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A restoration led by Marx Realty wrapped in 2019, but current renovation plans call for activating all floors for the first time since Regenstein\u2019s bowed out nearly 50 years ago.\u00a0<\/p>\n
