Taylor Swift<\/a>\u2019s been out on the town recently, first surprising fans at the Toy Story 5 <\/em>world premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday, June 9. The singer posed solo (and with cowgirl Jessie) on the red carpet and later performed her song from the movie, \u201cI Knew It, I Knew You.\u201d<\/p>\n

Just one day later, on June 10, Swift was courtside at her rumored wedding venue, Madison Square Garden, cheering on the New York Knicks during their historic comeback in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. This time, the \u201cLove Story\u201d singer was accompanied by a few friends: Este and Alana Haim.<\/p>\n

While it\u2019s nice to see Swift out and about and having fun, Swifties have been wondering where her Super-Bowl-winning fianc\u00e9 is and why he hasn\u2019t been by her side at recent events.<\/p>\n

Well, it turns out Travis Kelce<\/a> has a pretty good excuse\u2014work. Kelce\u2019s back in Kansas City for the Chiefs\u2019 mandatory minicamp, which, per ESPN<\/a>, kicked off on June 9 and concluded on Thursday, June 11.<\/p>\n

Even though Kelce had no choice but to miss out on some exciting nights out with Swift, his most recent absence comes after reports suggesting that he\u2019s still struggling to adjust to the i<\/a>ncreased security<\/a> constantly surrounding the pop star.<\/p>\n

\u201cTaylor\u2019s life operates like a military operation,\u201d one insider told Rob Shuter\u2019s Naughty But Nice<\/em><\/a>.\u201cThere are armored SUVs, armed guards, advance teams, private entrances, constant surveillance. Travis respects why it\u2019s necessary, but it\u2019s still shocking to him sometimes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelce\u2019s known for his very laid-back personality and love of spontaneity, so it makes sense that Swift\u2019s security detail would feel overwhelming to him.<\/p>\n

\u201cTravis is happiest when life feels normal,\u201d a separate source told Shuter. \u201cHe loves random nights out, changing plans last minute, calling friends on the fly. With Taylor, every movement has to be coordinated in advance.\u201d<\/p>\n

But sources claim that Kelce \u201caccepts the restrictions\u201d because he knows his future wife\u2019s safety is the top priority. \u201cHe hates the limitations,\u201d one person noted. \u201cBut he loves Taylor more than he hates any of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

And with his and Swift\u2019s wedding just around the corner, friends say Kelce has become \u201ceven more protective\u201d of the Grammy winner and \u201cwants to be the one protecting her.\u201d<\/p>\n
