Carrie Coon hasn’t seen the “material results” of having starred on The White Lotus<\/em>, she said during The Hollywood Reporter<\/em>‘s “Drama Actress Roundtable” on Thursday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n The actress thinks she’s maybe now the fourth person to be called for a role, instead of the seventh.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n Coon is still having to “fight for big movies,” she said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Carrie Coon<\/a> is one of the best and most accomplished actors on television, but she hasn’t felt what many perceive to be the White Lotus<\/em><\/a> bump.<\/p>\n A standout on The Leftovers<\/em><\/a>, Fargo<\/em><\/a>, and The Gilded Age<\/em><\/a>, Coon was already a two-time Emmy nominee when she was cast in the third season of Mike White<\/a>‘s The White Lotus<\/em>. Jennifer Coolidge<\/a>, Meghann Fahy<\/a>, Theo James<\/a>, Will Sharpe, Murray Bartlett<\/a>, and Sydney Sweeney<\/a> are among those to see their status rise in the aftermath of appearing on the HBO hit series. And yet, Coon doesn’t think she’s seen a big impact on her opportunities.<\/p>\n “As far as what The White Lotus<\/em> does for careers, there were a lot of think pieces written about the show and the women,” she said at a roundtable hosted by The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a>. “Maybe people started watching The Gilded Age<\/em>. I haven’t seen the material results of that yet… I think I’m, like, top of the B-list now. Instead of the seventh person you come to, I’m, like, the fourth.”<\/p>\n Carrie Coon, Michelle Monaghan, and Leslie Bibb in ‘The White Lotus’ Coon was nominated for an Emmy for her work in last year’s edition of The White Lotus<\/em> as Laurie Duffy, a New York City lawyer who takes a trip to Thailand with her college friends (played by Leslie Bibb<\/a> and Michelle Monaghan<\/a>). Since earning the strong reviews and recognition, Coon has debuted the third season of HBO’s The Gilded Age<\/em> and the Broadway production of <\/a>Bug<\/em><\/a>, written by her husband, Tracy Letts<\/a>.<\/p>\n “Here’s the thing: I still have to fight,” she said of her options. “I’m going to have to fight for big movies. What am I getting? I’m getting unfinanced indie scripts. That’s what I’m getting. And it’s probable that, if The Gilded Age<\/em> were to go away, I would get another television job. But Letts previously revealed that his wife didn’t return as villain Proxima Midnight in Avengers: Endgame<\/em> over a salary dispute.<\/p>\n “She said, ‘Well, the first one is the most successful movie ever made. Are you going to pay me any more money,'” Letts shared<\/a>. “And they said, ‘No. We’re not going to pay you any more money.’ She said, ‘Wow, you’re not going to pay me any more money, then I don’t think I’m going to do it.’ And they said, ‘Well, you should feel yourself fortunate to be part of the Marvel Universe.’ So she declined.”<\/p>\n Despite her belief that she has to fight for big movies, Coon also seems comfortable with her current level of fame.<\/p>\n “I’m still moving through the world with people vaguely kind of maybe thinking they know me from their high school,” she said during the THR<\/em> conversation. “It’s great, and I don’t want to change that.”<\/p>\n Production is currently taking place in France on season 4 of <\/a>White Lotus<\/em><\/a>, whose cast includes Laura Dern, Chris Messina, and Vincent Cassel.<\/p>\n
