Taylor Swift<\/a> went viral last night when she arrived at Madison Square Garden for the NBA Finals<\/a> to cheer for the New York Knicks<\/a> as they faced the San Antonio Spurs. After the singer was seen dressed in a \u201cStevie Knicks\u201d shirt created by close friend Alana Haim, a hot-mic moment by an ESPN reporter went viral when she assumed the pop star was not a Knicks fan.<\/a><\/p>\n

Monica McNutt, who has since apologized for the hot-mic moment, was discussing with Knicks\u2019 radio voice, Tyler Murray, about Swift\u2019s arrival at The Garden.<\/p>\n

\u201cIs that Taylor Swift down there?\u201d McNutt asked Murray.<\/p>\n

McNutt is later heard saying, \u201cShe\u2019s not a Knicks fan, get out of here, girl,\u201d McNutt said.<\/p>\n

As previously noted, McNutt has since apologized per TMZ and shared she has since learned about the singer\u2019s fandom. <\/a>The outlet reports that since she\u2019s been covering celebrity row all season and didn\u2019t see Swift, it reflected in her assumption.<\/p>\n

Since McNutt\u2019s comment, fans have been resurfacing photos and videos of Swift, which included the singer playing with Knicks stars back in 2014.<\/p>\n

Another photo that resurfaced was a photo of the singer in a Knicks jersey posing next to Knicks superfan Jimmy Fallon.<\/p>\n

An unnamed source told\u00a0Page Six<\/a>\u00a0that the singer shared that she would be there to support the Knicks last night ahead of her arrival.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s a huge fan of the Knicks and really wants to be there to support them. She is going with friends,\u201d the source told the outlet.<\/p>\n

The singer was not the only celebrity that came out to see the Knicks historic win as the MSG was Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet, Kylie Jenner, Spike Lee, Ben Stiller, and more were also present.<\/p>\n

The Knicks will now face the Spurs for Game 5 on the road on Saturday, June 13 after their history-making 106-107 win in Game 4. Tip-off will be at 8:30 pm ET and if they are able to pull off another win, they will be bringing the NBA Championship back to New York for the first time in 53 years.<\/p>\n
