keen from the start to ensure that all the events would be free, and we\u2019re extremely grateful for the support and enthusiasm we have received from our sponsors and funders.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;The aim here is to further establish Haltwhistle as a cultural and artistic destination, and make the first weekend in September a must for everyone\u2019s diaries.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Events will range from local award-winning folk duo Janice Burns and Jon Doran, along with Watersmeet playing in Holy Cross church, to an African drumming workshop, a screening of the silent movie \u2018Piccadilly\u2019 with musical accompaniment, and even a tea dance.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Other attractions include choral performances and an outdoor stage in Market Square for local musicians.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The event has been organised by Field Shelter, a Haltwhistle-based arts organisation, with support from local volunteers and sponsorship from businesses.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img dedicated festival beer.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Although entry is free, visitors will be encouraged to make donations online or in person to help fund future events.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Organisers hope the weekend will become a permanent fixture and grow to include other forms of arts and culture in the future.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  They believe the festival will boost Haltwhistle\u2019s profile as a creative hub and attract new visitors to the area.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Due to capacity requirements, some events will be ticketed, although the music itself will be free at all venues.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The 2026 Music
