This refers to the group\u2019s majority status of 35% of Spotify\u2019s total audience, as well as the highest average streaming time, at two hours per day.\n\n\n<aside>\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/aside>\n\n<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Casey Lewis, former MTV and New York Magazine writer and current Gen Z aficionado behind the popular Substack \u201cAfter School\u201d, had this to say about teens and online behavior in Spotify\u2019s report:\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cGen Z defies easy generalizations, which makes sense when you consider the generation spans 15 years,\u201d she described. \u201cA ninth grader and a young professional have almost nothing in common developmentally and that\u2019s always been the case.\u00a0\n\n\n\n<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBut what\u2019s interesting about this particular cohort is that they\u2019re the first generation to live through every life stage on the same platforms.
