Olivia Rodrigo \u2013 you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love<\/i><\/h4>\n

It\u2019s hard to believe it\u2019s been five years since <\/span>Olivia Rodrigo<\/span><\/a> exploded from acting phenom to beloved pop star. Three albums later, and she\u2019s moved on from lyrics claiming she can\u2019t even parallel park to ones where she for certain knows the bar closes at 11. Many fans have grown alongside Rodrigo, and even the ones who haven\u2019t can stand behind her latest venture <\/span>you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love<\/span><\/i>. This LP is a contender for pop album of the year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rodrigo has written and recorded a very balanced album with flow. Off the heels of lead single and album opener \u201cdrop dead,\u201d she immediately switches right over into her more instrumental type tracks, frontloading the album with songs featuring strings and slower rhythms. \u201cHoneybee\u201d is a song that gracefully shows off Rodrigo\u2019s understanding of general music theory. She sings down a simple ladder, while pianos dance and violins sway. \u201cA face I swear that I could spend my whole life knowing, here\u2019s to hoping,\u201d she sings and dreams.<\/span><\/p>\n

There\u2019s also plenty of room for Rodrigo\u2019s wacky upbeat-sounding pop tunes with fun beats and great delivery. \u201cMy way\u201d is a fun track while \u201cu + me = <\/span><\/p>\n

The playful lyrics and well-formed pop songs are all on <\/span>you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love<\/span><\/i>, and from now through the rest of her career, all eyes will be on Olivia Rodrigo.<\/span><\/p>\n
