\n\tThis week,\u00a0Billboard\u2019s\u00a0<\/em>New Music Latin\u00a0poll<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 curated with key recommendations by Billboard Latin and Billboard Espa\u00f1ol editors \u2014 features a number of new songs and albums, including Feid\u2019s El Moco Verde<\/em>, Mon Laferte\u2019s Femme Fatale Vol. 2<\/em>, Gente de Zona and Juan Magan\u2019s new single \u201cIsla Viva\u201d and more.<\/p>\n

Released on Friday, June 12, Feid\u2019s latest musical project, El Moco Verde (The Green Booger) <\/em>is a mixtape rooted in the golden era of New York hip-hop. The five-song tracklist includes \u201cPienxa en Mi,\u201d a collaboration with Italian rapper Sfera Ebbasta; while Spanish rapper Munic HB joins him on the second track, titled \u201cThey Already Know\u201d; and fellow Colombian artist Granuja is on \u201cLos Cuervos\u201d and \u201c50 Mil Piex.\u201d On the project\u2019s final song, \u201cRecreo,\u201d El Ferxxo delivers the only solo performance on the release.<\/p>\n

\n\tFeid\u2019s signature sound is still very evident in the collection of tracks, especially in \u201cPienxa en Mi\u201d and \u201c50 Mil Piex.\u201d The intention to pay homage to rhythmic patterns and beats steeped in New York\u2019s hip-hop scene is evident, especially in \u201cLos Cuervos,\u201d where El Ferxxo and Granuja rap to the beat of rugged dusty boom-bap drums and brooding sample-driven loops which channel sounds produced by artists such as Wu-Tang Clan, Nas and Jay-Z<\/a>. \u201cRecreo\u201d is another track where the Colombian artist\u2019s versatility is clear, as he raps and channels the sounds of the genres that dominated in the late \u201990s and early 2000s hip-hop scene.<\/p>\n
