Country singer John Rich <\/b>is wading into the world of politics<\/a> with a special position in President Donald Trump<\/b><\/a>\u2019s administration.<\/p>\n

\u201cPresident Trump has afforded me the great honor to serve in his administration as the \u2018Special Envoy for American Landowners,\u2019\u201d Rich, 52, wrote via X<\/span><\/a> on Monday, June 8. \u201cIn this role, I look forward to representing and advocating for landowners\u2019 rights against any entity that chooses to harass or intimidate them in an effort to achieve goals contrary to those of the President. I look forward to defending our farmers and ranchers.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a follow-up tweet<\/span><\/a>, Rich said it is \u201can honor\u201d to support Trump, 79, and his political agenda.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s an honor to be able to fight for American Landowners,\u201d Rich tweeted. \u201cI intend to give it everything I\u2019ve got. Believe it!\u201d<\/p>\n

Rich, best known for his Big & Rich band, is more than ready to step into the new arena.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m excited to have the chance to do some serious good for our landowners,\u201d he tweeted to conservative commentator Riley Gaines <\/b>after she offered her congratulations. \u201cAnd you know me, I enjoy the fight.\u201d<\/p>\n

The United States Department of Agriculture subsequently issued a statement on Rich\u2019s appointment.<\/p>\n
