Dylan Dreyer<\/strong> woke up to a new reality.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a working mom who shares sons <\/span>Calvin<\/strong>, 9, <\/span>Oliver<\/strong>, 6, and <\/span>Rusty<\/strong>, 4, with ex <\/span>Brian Fichera<\/strong>, the <\/span>Today<\/span><\/em><\/a> co-host reflected on the doubt she faced about returning to her job shortly after giving birth.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI went right back to work after my oldest was 3 months old,\u201d Dreyer said on the June 11 episode of her podcast <\/span>The Parent Chat<\/span><\/em><\/a>, noting she had built a \u201cvillage\u201d of helpers including a nanny, her mom and her mother-in-law. \u201cI loved my nanny. But I remember when Calvin was a baby, maybe like 4 or 5 months, and he would only want her.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The 44-year-old added, \u201cI was home a lot. I work a schedule where I can be home by 11 o\u2019clock in the morning, I was there to cook dinner, but he preferred her.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

But while Dreyer\u2019s concerns were valid, her guest <\/span>Connie Simpson<\/strong>\u2014known as \u201cNanny Connie\u201d because of her celebrity client list including <\/span>Emily Blunt<\/strong>, <\/span>Matt Damon<\/strong> and <\/span>Justin Timberlake<\/strong>\u2014gave her an alternate perspective.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
