Chrissy Teigen <\/b><\/a>is getting candid about grieving the death of her beloved father, Ron.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of emotions. Everybody said it\u2019d be, like, waves and it is,\u201d Teigen, 40, said in an Instagram Story video posted Friday, June 12. \u201cMe and my sister [are] joking, laughing \u2018cause my dad was very funny and sarcastic. We talked about death and stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

Teigen announced on Wednesday, June 10, that her dad died at age 86<\/span><\/a>. A cause of death was not immediately revealed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m going to the funeral home, and it\u2019s so crazy because I was looking at all the gravestones, like, \u2018Oh my God, they all tell such a beautiful story,\u2019\u201d the Cravings founder detailed on Friday of making funeral arrangements. \u201cAll these gravestones, I noticed all these people or a few of them had died on my birthday. All these people are connected, and I was, like, \u2018Man, I wonder what their story is.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tChrissy Teigen is mourning the sudden loss of her father, Ron. \u201cYesterday I woke up with a daddy and went to bed without one,\u201d Teigen, 40, wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, June 10, alongside a video of her 86-year-old dad. \u201cAll the same things happened. Hurried shower. Picked up stuffing from the dog toys. Answered [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Teigen also felt overwhelmed picking out either a casket or an urn for Ron\u2019s remains.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe would hate the frills of buying a casket and being buried in it,\u201d she mused. \u201cHe would hate that so much, actually. Then, you see the caskets and [think], \u2018Well, I\u2019m kind of an a**hole if I don\u2019t get the casket.\u2019 Then, picking an urn? Everything\u2019s so weird, everything\u2019s so weird. Everything\u2019s weird.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ron is survived by his wife, Vilailuck \u201cPepper\u201d Teigen<\/b><\/a>, their two daughters and multiple grandchildren. (Chrissy shares four children with husband John Legend<\/b>, while her sister, Tina, is mom of daughter Pasha.)<\/p>\n
