Anna Faris <\/b><\/a>admittedly felt emotional<\/a> after initially separating from her ex-husband, Chris Pratt<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was feeling sad,\u201d Faris, 49, recalled of her divorce in a Variety<\/i><\/span><\/a> <\/i>profile published Saturday, June 13. \u201cI do feel like I had enough gumption, enough of a core, and I have tried to be careful about how much Hollywood infiltrates, but now I\u2019ve been on a spectrum of fame for 26 years, so I would be na\u00efve to think that it hasn\u2019t shaped who I am at this point. But, f*** the scrutiny.\u201d<\/p>\n

Faris and Pratt, 46, were married from 2009 to 2018, welcoming their now-13-year-old son, Jack,<\/a> in 2012. After the two actors separated, Faris found solace in her work.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m lucky that at that time I had my [\u201cAnna Faris Is Unqualified\u201d] podcast,\u201d the Scary Movie <\/i>actress recalled to Variety<\/i>. \u201cI wanted, like, four people to listen and to build my own secret community. I wanted an avenue outside of Hollywood as a way to connect with people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris were married for eight years before announcing their separation in August 2017. \u201cWe tried really hard for a long time, and we\u2019re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep the situation as private as [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Faris started her eponymous podcast in 2015 with \u201ccuriosity\u201d and \u201ca desire to connect\u201d with guests, per a website<\/span><\/a> description.<\/p>\n

\u201cI used to do this thing on ski lifts where, if I was on a ski lift with a stranger, I\u2019d say, \u2018Do you want to have a really intense 10-minute conversation with me? And you can answer any question you want to,\u2019\u201d Faris told Variety<\/i>. \u201cI\u2019d ask them questions like, \u2018When was the first time you fell in love?\u2019 I\u2019ve had a constant desire to connect with people. I didn\u2019t disclose a lot on the podcast, but I always felt like I could if I needed to.\u201d<\/p>\n
