West Ave., Fayetteville.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition, curated by the Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame, features first-time displayed items, including personal photographs, instruments from members of The Band, tour memorabilia, awards and interviews with friends and fellow musicians, including Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Browne and Max Weinberg.<\/p>\n<p>Guests can follow in Helm\u2019s \u201cfootsteps\u201d and play the drums as a Ramble Band guest drummer; multi-instrumentalist Charley Drayton provides a video tutorial.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition remains up through Sept. 6. Gallery hours are 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 5-8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Ninth St., Little Rock, screens the documentary \u201cThe Forgotten War,\u201d examining the three years of heavy combat in the Korean War from the perspective of soldiers that fought it, 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. It\u2019s part of the museum\u2019s Movies at MacArthur series. Admission, popcorn and soft drinks are free. Ninth Street in Little Rock.<\/p>\n<p>Featured authors: Becca Haney of Conway (\u201cMy Mom Has No Fun\u201d); Brandon D. Campbell of Bryant (\u201cOh Brother, My Brother\u201d); Orlando M. Kendricks of Little Rock (\u201cI Am a Superhero\u201d); Selandria Jackson, also of Little Rock (\u201cRaising Excellence\u201d); Tasia C. Taylor of Van Buren (\u201cMade with Love\u201d); and Tiffany Lynne of Camden (\u201cMelonie and Her Marvelous Mind\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>The discussion \u2014 set to explore such topics as literary, representation in children\u2019s literature \u201cand the role stories play in helping children better understand themselves and the world around them\u201d \u2014 will be followed by a Q&amp;A session.
