What does this do to the fundamental beliefs that many of us have?\u201d Spielberg<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo\/?fbid=1365203252141890&amp;set=a.641389744523248\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> said in the interview<\/a>. \u201cIs God, our God, only on this planet, or is God a God for every system where there\u2019s civilization, intelligent life and even developing life?\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Steven Spielberg <span class=\"credit\">Erik Pendzich\/Shutterstock<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>That speculation did not seem to sit well with Father Dan Reehil, a priest and exorcist with the Diocese of Nashville.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>In a Wednesday Youtube video, Reehil said the director\u2019s remarks are \u201codd.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy would you make a movie with the distinct outcome being people\u2019s faith would be shaken or lost?\u201d Reehil asked. \u201cThat seems very much like something the Antichrist would do, or Satan.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Spielberg has not explicitly said he intended for the movie to shake up Christian faith. Still, Reehil went on to suggest that the new movie could be cursed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of the things that comes to mind is that the movie itself \u2014 I\u2019m not saying this is what was done, but this could be done \u2014 the movie could be consecrated to Satan, and demons can be attached to the movie,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"jeg_video_container jeg_video_content\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Will Steven Spielberg&amp;apos;s Film About Aliens Affect Our Faith? | Fr. It could happen.
