These are the best places and events to spend your summer in Fort Worth.<\/p>\n Fun fact: The Fort Worth Stockyards draw more tourists \u2014 just over 9 million annually \u2014 than the Eiffel Tower, San Antonio River Walk, or the Taj Mahal. It\u2019s fortunate that the epicenter for tourism in Cowtown is also home to many of the city\u2019s top shopping, dining<\/a>, and entertainment destinations. Throughout the World Cup, the Cowtown Coliseum hosts daily Western sports events<\/a>, including bull riding, championship rodeos, and family-friendly matinee shows.<\/p>\n After buying Fort Worth\u2019s finest Western wear at Maverick Fine Western Wear, The Best Hat Store, M.L. Leddy\u2019s, or elsewhere in the Stockyards, guests can catch a live show at the iconic Billy Bob\u2019s Texas or enjoy Hotel Drover\u2019s Backyard Unplugged series<\/a>, which runs Fridays and Saturdays through September. Fortunately, our city\u2019s lauded museums have fun, kid-friendly programming throughout the summer.<\/p>\n The Kimbell Art Museum\u2019s summer calendar<\/a> includes family festivals, hands-on art activities, story-based programs for younger children, teen workshops led by professional artists, and special events tied to the museum\u2019s exhibition.
