Olivia Rodrigo\u2019s You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love has broken streaming records.<\/p>\n
\nThe 23-year-old pop star released her third studio album on Friday (12.06.26) and it quickly became the most-streamed album in a single day in 2026 by a female artist on Spotify.<\/p>\n
\nThe music platform announced the record-breaking news on X.<\/p>\n
\nOlivia also delivered Amazon Music\u2019s biggest first 24-hour streaming debut globally of any album in 2026, according to the streamer\u2019s Instagram account.<\/p>\n
\nOlivia previously revealed she wrote a huge chunk of her new album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, in London, and explained that she feels like she’s the “best version” of herself in the city.<\/p>\n
\nThe brunette beauty – who previously dated London-born actor Louis Partridge – told Dazed: “I\u2019m the best version of myself when I\u2019m there. I wrote lots of the album in London; lots [of it] was inspired by my time there. Maybe it\u2019s because it rains so much that all you want to do is be inside with the guitar and write.”<\/p>\n
\nOlivia also admitted to feeling inspired by Manchester, the home of bands such as Oasis, The Smiths, Joy Division, and The Stone Roses.<\/p>\n
\nThe singer said: “I spent some time in Manchester a few years ago and it was so rainy I was like, \u2018No wonder so many great bands come out of Manchester!\u2019”<\/p>\n
\nAnd, shockingly, despite her musical talent, Olivia has revealed she is “60 per cent deaf” in one ear.<\/p>\n
\nAppearing on KISS FM, Olivia was asked what is wrong with her in reference to a song on her new album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love titled What’s Wrong With Me.<\/p>\n
\nShe replied: “There’s quite a lot that’s wrong with me.<\/p>\n
\n“I’m actually like, 60 per cent deaf in my left ear. So, if you were to sit on this side of me [points to her left] and try to tell me a secret, I couldn’t make out what you were saying.<\/p>\n
\n“So, if you tell me a secret, go right ear.”<\/p>\n
\nThe Cure singer previously revealed her hearing difficulties were discovered at a young age.<\/p>\n
\nShe told The Hollywood Reporter in 2023: \u201cI never knew until kindergarten or so when they’re doing the tests on all the kids, and they were like, \u2018Oh, you’re a little hard of hearing.’ It’s interesting.”<\/p>\n
\nBut Olivia couldn’t resist a joke about the situation.<\/p>\n
\nShe quipped: “One of my friends is this great photographer, Petra Collins, and she has really bad vision, so we always joke that I make music because I have bad hearing, and she takes photos because she has bad vision.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
