The concept came straight from bassist\/vocalist\u00a0<strong>Shel\u00a0Shock<\/strong>, who adds:<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cOne night I was in a car coming home from the bar &amp; in the midst of all the spinning, some lyrics appeared. Anyone who\u2019s listening to POWERL\u00d6AD has been there, you drunks. People compare it to Tommy or The Wall, mostly because of the musicianship &amp; lyrical themes, which are superior on In The Pocket,\u201d\u00a0<\/em>adds\u00a0Shel\u00a0Shock.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lyrically and musically, the band sums the album up in three words: sex, drugs, and rock\u2019n\u2019 roll. The record is a full\u2011throttle plunge into that chaos, ripping through eight filthy, high\u2011energy chapters that kick off with the AC\/DC charged opener \u201cTons of Tail\u201d, a song that sounds like it\u2019s about lots of chicks, but it\u2019s actually about lots of cocktails. Rolling into \u201cBad Girls,\u201d a tribute to the strong, street\u2011owning women the band admires. \u201cThe Ballad of Shit Faced Tony\u201d follows Toronto\u2019s most persistent blow\u2011seeker, while \u201cChains of Rock n\u2019 Roll\u201d channels the reckless spirit of the Sunset Strip.
