Zahara Jolie-Pitt<\/a> is officially filing to change her name.<\/p>\n According to documents reviewed by TMZ<\/em><\/a>, the 21-year-old daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt<\/a> filed for a name change with the Los Angeles Superior Court. She requested for her legal name to be Zahara Marley Jolie, effectively dropping \u201cPitt\u201d from her last name.<\/p>\n The outlet added that Zahara did not specify any reasons for the change in her filing.<\/p>\n In Touch Weekly<\/em><\/a>, the first to report on the matter, said Zahara made the filing on April 28. Obsess.<\/a><\/p>\n There may have been signs of her feelings about the name ahead of the filing.<\/p>\n Zahara\u2019s name was announced without \u201cPitt\u201d when she walked on stage to accept her diploma at her graduation ceremony at Spelman College last month, per People<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n A source allegedly connected to Angelina Jolie told TMZ<\/em><\/a> that Brad Pitt did not reach out about getting a ticket to the graduation ceremony, and a separate source purportedly connected to Pitt told the outlet that he did not reach out because he has been estranged from his children.<\/p>\n Jolie filed for divorce<\/a> from Pitt in 2016, but it was not finalized until December 2024<\/a>.<\/p>\n Zahara was adopted from Ethiopia by Jolie in 2005, when she was seven months old, according to People<\/em><\/a>.
