Heidi Montag<\/strong><\/a> publicly addressed her husband Spencer Pratt<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s Los Angeles mayoral loss.<\/p>\n

\u201cI couldn\u2019t love my husband more and be more proud of him. What an inspiration, what a hero,\u201d the Hills<\/em><\/a> alum, 39, wrote via X<\/a> on Sunday, June 14. The statement was posted three days after Pratt, 42, broke his silence<\/a> on the results of the election following a lengthy vote-counting process across L.A. county after polls closed on June 2.<\/p>\n

\u201cAre they done counting yet?\u201d Pratt had written via X on Thursday, June 11.<\/p>\n

Four days earlier, news broke of Los Angeles City Council member Nithya Raman<\/strong> overtaking Pratt to finish in second place behind incumbent Karen Bass<\/strong>. The leapfrogging from Raman, 44, secured her place in the election\u2019s November runoff, knocking Pratt out altogether.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSpencer Pratt has his eye on one thing: becoming the next Los Angeles mayor. In a June 2 primary, incumbent Karen Bass advanced to the November 3 general election against either Pratt or City Councilwoman Nithya Raman. Her opponent had yet to be announced at the time of publication. Pratt announced his unlikely candidacy one [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

At the end of April, amid Pratt\u2019s mayoral campaign, Montag had exclusively told<\/a> Us Weekly<\/em> that she was entirely supportive of her husband and his political aspirations. \u201cI wouldn\u2019t be here without him,\u201d she told Us<\/em> on April 30. \u201cHe is so, so incredible.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the time, Montag spoke in further detail about the \u201cbehind the scenes\u201d support she receives from Pratt as she continues to grow her musical career. She explained to Us<\/em> that she and Pratt work together as a team to chase their dreams.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, I\u2019m the record label, so we have a lot of work to do,\u201d she said in reference to releasing music independently. \u201cIt is more than just showing up and performing, which is awesome, and very hard work too.\u201d<\/p>\n
